Paper Tiger Shanghai creates gift paper with designs to reflect the richness of China’s traditional art, Shanghai’s art deco period, and Beijing’s hutong past. Paper Tiger Shanghai’s collection of contemporary and vibrant paper is produced using 100% recycled paper and soy-based ink. The deliberate mix of traditional and contemporary is coupled with the goal of making gift wrapping fun and expressive for the giver and something special for the receiver.
Born and raised in New York of Chinese descent, designer and owner, Lucy launched Paper Tiger in answer to her own unsuccessful search in Shanghai for paper that reflected Chinese culture. Lucy has been in Asia since 1993 living in Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing, and currently resides in the former French Concession in Shanghai with her husband and two children.
