Created to reflect the richness of Shanghai’s art deco period, Paper Tiger Shanghai’s collection of contemporary, colorful and fun paper is inspired by Shanghai’s unique combination of Chinese traditional design and European style. Paper Tiger Shanghai creates and produces fine paper and gift wrapping accessories using 100% recycled paper that is both traditional and contemporary and bold with the goal of making gift wrapping fun and expressive for the giver and something special for the receiver.
Born and raised in New York of Chinese descent, designer and owner, Lucy launched Paper Tiger in answer to her own unsuccessful search in Shanghai for paper that reflected Chinese culture. Lucy has been in Asia since 1993 living in Taipei, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai, and now resides in Beijing with her husband, 2 children and beloved dog Arthur.
